Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic approach designed specifically to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. EMDR works by using bilateral stimulation—such as guided eye movements or tapping—while you focus on distressing memories. This process helps reframe negative beliefs associated with trauma, reduce emotional intensity, and facilitate the brain’s natural healing process. EMDR can be effective for a variety of trauma-related symptoms, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and phobias.
